International Students

Applicants whose first law degree program was not taught in English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL is also required of applicants whose law degree program was taught in English but the school is located in a country where English is not the primary language. A score of 600 on the written TOEFL test is required for admissions consideration. On the computer based TOEFL test applicants are required to obtain a score of 250 to be considered for admission. Applicants must have an official score report sent to the Graduate Program in Taxation from the Educational Testing Service.

To apply please submit a completed application, application fee (check or money order in the amount of $50.00 (U.S.) payable to the University of Miami), resume, personal statement, TOEFL score, original transcripts from all universities and colleges attended, certified English translation of these transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
