Graduate Program in Taxation
Part Time Program
The Graduate Program in Taxation provides intensive training in federal taxation. Recent law school graduates, tax lawyers in the early stages of their careers and more experienced lawyers who have been practicing in other fields all find that the Program enables them to acquire a high level of professional expertise. The Program begins a week before the start of the Law School’s academic year with a series of workshops on tax research and on ethical issues in tax practice. Ethical issues are also addressed in each course in the Program.
As a part time student you may apply for admission to either the fall or spring semester. All 24 credits required for the degree must be earned within five years from your initial date of matriculation in the Program. Applications are accepted and are considered as they are received. Applications will be considered only when they are complete.
To apply please submit a completed application, application fee (check or money order in the amount of $50.00 payable to the University of Miami), resume, personal statement, LSAT score, JD class rank, transcripts from all universities and colleges attended and two letters of recommendation.
